Anima Sound System have kept up the high energy folk-induced electronica for almost 3 decades now, a rare feat in itself. Consistence is key, but there is much more to the ensemble headed by Zsolt Prieger, a newfound local patriot of Martonvásár, and global citizen for, like, ever. Constantly opening new channels and sampling heritage with love and respect, they have always returned to the music of the Carpathian Basin – a tradition that is diverse, multi-ethnic and inclusive in itself. At Trilla they will present a programme inspired by the treasures of Roma and Hungarian folk songs, but also pander to fans with classic hits such as 68, Good Luck Boy, Crossroads or Csinálj gyereket (i.e.: Make Babies).
