Two kings in one kingdom, or rather a quartet lead by the two most excellent reedists in Hungarian ethno-jazz. The depth and charisma of Mihály Dresch matched with the light-handed virtuosity of Mihály Borbély; anchored by the delicate drums of Hunor G. Szabó and Balázs Horváth on double-bass. As age-old folk tunes merge with instantaneous impros, blue notes give way to up-tempo phrases, the quartet create a present continous that is a joy to experience.
